120 days of Sodom
I still remember the invitation in the Freaks Unidos web page to see for one last time Pier Paolo
Pasollini`s "Sal? o los 120 dias de Sodoma". I couldn't go with the Freaks to see it, because I had something else to do, something that I should have done two or three years before, so now it's more or less three or four years later that I have the time to see the movie and comment on it. Unfortunately to take the time to see the movie, I had to skip going to a very rare wine event with some friends, and now it will probably be two or three years until I have the time to go with them again. I think, by now, you understand my dilemma...
About the movie I can only say that I couldn't help but try to remember if
Sergio's sardonic laugh as he explained some sadistic scenes of a bloody masacre refered to this movie, or to "Holocausto Canibal" (which I also didn't attend). Unfortunately I have lost the backup copy of the
bachue.com/freak archive that
alejo sent me once, which could have shed some light on the issue. I hope alejo keeps a copy somewhere.
Drayru's account is a very well written sobering story. It's so sad that it's something that really happened, because for a moment I thought it was ficticious. It really impresses me the fact that the man's reaction was triggered by the paradox that someone who complained of other's selfishness, shoots words without calculating the damage that they can inflict. All in all, not to blame, not to judge.
I hope Vulpecula writes again in his blog soon.
